Aleksandar Cabrilo

CEO

Aleksandar is an entrepreneur by passion. He is the founder and CEO of HTEC Group, leading the company from its inception in 2009 to its international expansion. Nowadays, Aleksandar is living and working in San Francisco, where HTEC is headquartered, where he manages our client relationships globally across many verticals. During his fruitful career, he has founded, advised and invested in a several startups with a special interest in digital-first products which disrupt traditional industries by combining deep industry expertise with technology excellence. Aleksandar was a co-founder and president of the Serbian Business Angels Network, as well a member of the Board of Directors of the European Business Angels Network (EBAN). He has years of experience in business transformations, investments, corporate innovation, and venture acceleration and at HTEC he makes sure that technology excellence of our teams meets and exceeds our clients' expectations creating disrupting digital products that support innovative business models.

Andrija Bednarik

COO

Andrija is a co-founder, partner and COO at HTEC Group. His core responsibility is the development of operations, people and processes at HTEC, but he also manages a few startup projects founded and funded by HTEC. Before joining HTEC in 2011, he was as an Investment Advisor for the ICT sector of The Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and a member of the ICT sector group of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). Andrija is an experienced entrepreneur and a philanthropist, recognized internationally for his expertise in the domain of tech investing and lean product development. He has given lectures and talks at various international events on the strategies for creating successful startup working dynamics, the art of investor pitching, lean startup models, lean canvas and business model canvas methodology, risks and advantages of IT outsourcing and the most effective outsourcing models. He is actively investing in and mentoring lean ICT startups in the USA, Germany, Sweden, and Serbia.

Dusan Kosic

CFO

Dusan is a partner and CFO at HTEC Group. In addition to being responsible for the corporate finances, Dusan leads the Group’s relations in JVs in China and Europe and manages corporate investments. Before joining HTEC as a partner in 2010, Dusan was Foreign Direct Investment Advisor at Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and was a fund manager at Innovation Fund in Serbia. Dusan graduated from St. John’s University in Minneapolis, USA, where he became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2017. Dusan has invested in several technology startups and is an active member of Serbian Business Angels Network.

Vladimir Trbovic

Head of Software Engineering

Vladimir is the Head of Software Engineering at HTEC Group. He leads multiple teams across cloud technologies, data science, and artificial intelligence. He is an expert in complex enterprise solutions, multi-platform, high bandwidth and big data systems, data optimization and analysis and system scalability. He leverages his cross-industry experience to deliver large-scale transformational products in areas such as multimedia, networking, utility, payments, social media, productivity, and logistics. He believes in agile development, adaptive planning and continuous agility improvements in response to continuous change.

Vladimir is the Head of Software Engineering at HTEC Group. He leads multiple teams across cloud technologies, data science, and artificial intelligence. Srdjan Jovanovic

Head of Hardware and Embedded Engineering

Srdjan is the Head of Hardware and Embedded Engineering at HTEC Group. He leads our research groups in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Before joining HTEC in 2012, Srdjan was responsible for Research & Development at LMB Soft, a MedTech company from Germany, producing high-end medical electronics for global markets. As an expert in complex DSP algorithms, custom electronics engineering, embedded systems design, software architecture, and various compliance and certifications standards—Srdjan lead our Humeds MedTech startup as a CTO. In his free time, Srdjan enjoys helping talented kids in Serbia develop their skills in electronics and new technologies through the course he manages at Petnica Science Center, where he has taught, gave lectures and presentations since 1999.

Darko Todorovic

Head of R&D

Darko is the Head of R&D at HTEC Group and he leads our business development activities in Europe. He manages key client relations as well as relationships with universities and research organizations. Darko has a special interest in the application of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science in business digitalization, improving organizational and business process efficiency in various industries with deep specialization in IoT and Robotics. Darko did his Ph.D. on haptic rendering algorithms with applications in medical robotics at the University of Nis, where he teaches at the Department of Control Systems and is an active member of Robotics Laboratory at the University.

Tony DeFranceschi

Management Consulting Lead

Tony is a serial entrepreneur, innovator, and management consultant. While a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Tony led consulting projects for both technology startups and Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Nortel, T-Mobile, Palm Computing, Sun Microsystems, EMC Storage, Dell, HP, and Hitachi. Projects included corporate strategy, new market entry, channel strategy, sales and operations optimization, M&A, post-merger management and new business building. Tony has also co-founded three technology companies, in multimedia, audio and legal tech domain. In addition to B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Tony has advanced degrees in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Rice University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. He has done graduate work in neural networks with the aim of developing nonlinear control systems (funded by the Department of Defense and the Office of Naval Research).

He developed numerous hit video game franchises, achieving retail sales of over 50 million units. Dan is an active philanthropist, business and social entrepreneur, and a private investor. He founded or co-founded several successful businesses serving telecommunication firms in the US and abroad. He also founded or helped transform a number of non-profit and non-governmental organizations in the US and overseas. Dan’s public sector career included stints as manager of an election campaign; an analyst with U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare; a manager with the Institute of Medicine; management consultant; director of health planning for New York state and health policy specialist for the Governor of West Virginia. Dan received an undergraduate degree from Saint John's University in Minnesota. He later earned an MBA and AM from Stanford University.

Introduced innovative practices and change management in large global organizations. Proven leadership skills, tested in diverse environments; proven ability to conceptualize solutions to a broad spectrum of management challenges. As a successful business leader, she held EVP position for Marvell's networking and wireless semiconductor products and solutions, previously holding several VP positions in Ericsson in Scandinavia and California. Maya served as Board of Directors for Ericsson Finland and Ericsson Germany and she is a Current Board member of Watermark organization, Telecom Council and ACG Silicon Valley.

Predrag Pivarski

Branch Manager

Predrag is the branch manager of the HTEC development center in Novi Sad. Before joining HTEC in 2016, Predrag was engaged as an Automotive Project Manager in RT-RK LLC, as the leader of several cutting-edge Automotive projects. As an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in business and finance, he is responsible for in-house developed projects, program and portfolio management and client relationships. Predrag graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, Serbia.

Predrag is the branch manager of the HTEC development center in Novi Sad. Before joining HTEC in 2016, Predrag was engaged as an Automotive Project Manager in RT-RK LLC, as the leader of several cutting-edge Automotive projects. As an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in business and finance, he is responsible for in-house developed projects, program and portfolio management and client relationships. Predrag graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
